Surokkha App To spread the COVID-19 vaccine among the population of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh ICT Department has created an online portal and a mobile application to speed up the initial registration process. Surokkha App makes it easier for Bangladeshis to register for vaccinations.

If a person wants to be registered for the COVID-19 vaccine, he or she must provide a national identification number or birth certificate number to verify. The following information is verified by this application.

Professor Dr. ABM Khurshid Alam, Director General (DG) of the Director-General of Health Services (DGHS), said that the “Surokkha App” application for registration of coronavirus vaccines will be available in the Google Play Store before 4 p.m. February.

"The ICT ministry has informed us that the app will be available on mobile devices from February 4. The app will be available in the Google Play Store," he said at an event in the capital Mohakhali on Sunday.

The DGHS DGA told reporters that the coronavirus vaccine will reach all parts of the country on Monday.

It could take another week for the Surokkha App to launch in the Google Play Store because Google has not yet responded to the app, health officials said.

The application, designed to help people in Bangladesh register for the COVID-19 vaccine, should be available in the Google Play Store starting February 4, according to the IT section.

“For technical reasons, the launch of the app in the Google Play Store has been delayed,” said Professor Mizanur Rahman, Director (MIS), Director General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, they are sure that the Android version of the app will be available next week. The official vaccine registration website (www.surokkha.gov.bd) is open to the public for registration.

Professor Mizanur Rahman said: "We launched the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination on Sunday. Despite delays in the Android version of the app, people are joining the site.

Sources in the ICT section said that when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the vaccination in the country on January 26, they sent the necessary documents to Google to register the app.

Sources said Google's response usually comes within a week, but they haven't received anything yet. Due to communication delays, the IT department does not know when it will receive approval from Google.

Most people who register for the vaccine do so through a registration website. About 80% of recordings are made with portable devices.

NM Zail Alam, senior secretary of the ICT department, could not be reached for comment.

The Surokkha App can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. The app is compatible with iOS devices, but officials are waiting for Google's response before sending it to the Apple App Store.

In the meantime, those who have lost their vaccine registration card can download it from the registration website.

Students can register at BRC. Online registration can be done through the website www.surokkha.gov.bd. However, only foreigners can register with their passports. Others must complete their registration with a NID number.

Registration can be completed by downloading the Surokkha App from the website as well as Google Play Store, and iTunes. Once the registration is completed, the Surokha GoV BD Vaccination Card must be downloaded, printed, and taken to the designated immunization center.

Upon completion of the online registration, the date of vaccination and other information will be sent via SMS to the registered mobile phone number. The first dose of the vaccine will be available on the scheduled date after receipt of the SMS and the second dose will be available upon receipt of the next SMS from the chosen center
