Srinagar, July 23: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated ‘JK Samadhan APK’, an integrated complaint monitoring and redressal system of the Complaints Department in Srinagar.

In his speech, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated the Appellate Authority, Information Technology Authority, Central Administrative Reforms and Appellate Authority, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Bhaskaracharya Institute of Space Applications and Geoinformatics for this initiative.

Dedicating 'JK Samadhan' to the people, the Lieutenant Governor said that the integrated grievance redressal and monitoring system launched today reflects the commitment of the Union Territory administration towards good governance.

The Lieutenant Governor said that JK Samadhan will create a transparent, inclusive, responsive, accessible and accountable administration to make the lives of citizens easier and empower them. He said this would improve governance through better monitoring and analysis capabilities, eliminate anonymous complaints from the system and build greater trust between citizens and the administration.

Considering that ease and speed are the two most important factors: ease of filing a complaint and speed of resolution of the complaint; the Lieutenant Governor said that the new system will provide a user-friendly interface to the citizens and aims to resolve the complaints within a stipulated time frame by clearly defining the responsibilities of the district officials.

Citizens can submit complaints through the call centre, online and through the JK Samadhan mobile App. He said the JK Samadhan APK Mod web portal and mobile app launched today are multilingual, and citizens can submit their complaints in English, Hindi and Urdu. The Lieutenant Governor said the state-of-the-art grievance redressal system will ensure effective and timely resolution of citizens' complaints.

He said tracking complaints in GIS using heat maps will help address systemic issues in specific areas and automate the complaints flow to the concerned department officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the remarkable efforts made by the Union Territory administration to establish a transparent, accountable, citizen-centric and corruption-free administration under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
